Questions to record before booking

A first conversation is more useful when its answers can be checked later. The clinic should identify who assesses your case, who carries out each clinical part of the procedure, what the provisional graft range is based on, and what might change after a direct assessment. Donor reserve, future loss, and the proposed hairline should be part of that record.

Follow up deserves the same clarity. A promise of a free touch up is not a plan. It should be clear when a result can be assessed, what information will be reviewed first, and how a decision about further treatment would be made.

Booking a date should still leave room for a final pause. When a concern about the donor plan, the doctor’s role, or the graft range still lacks a clear explanation, it is reasonable to delay travel and revisit the plan. The decision should rest on details you understand, not on the hope that uncertainty will settle after you arrive.

The written quote should separate the surgical plan from optional services. It should state which clinical steps, aftercare items, accommodation, transfers and follow-up are included, what would cost extra, and whether declining an optional item changes the surgical plan.
